OUR STORY
Hello! My name is Taryn and I am the owner of From Spokane With Love. In 2020 I purchased Garland Mercantile in the historic Garland neighborhood. With a lot of work and love my partner and I transformed the Mercantile into a local marketplace selling unique items from our community. From tee shirts to honey, we wanted to be a place where you could find local goods all year round. After 5 years on Garland, we learned a lot and made incredible connections with our customers and vendors. After a lot of discussion, we decided to shift gears and transform the Mercantile into an online platform, focusing on gift baskets. After years of curating local items, I have discovered a love for making unique, thoughtful gifts for people to share with others. From baby gifts, to corporate, to wedding. So this new venture will be just that, a place where you can find local items but also discover beautifully packaged gift baskets that are easy to customize and ready to give. There are so many ideas I have for this new venture, and can’t wait to let them blossom. The Baskets
It all began with a basket. You know , that one beautifully woven basket, filled to the brim with treasures. There’s something so lovely about receiving a gift basket. But we knew our baskets needed to have more heart behind them than the ones you see at the big box stores. So when our beloved grandma passed away and we began to discover basket after basket that she had collected over the years, I knew this was the answer. The baskets we are going to begin with, come from Grandma Barbara. They are woven with love, unique, and are being repurposed instead of tossed in a landfill. And this is what we hope for all of the baskets we use moving forward, that they are regifted and given a new purpose.so if you have any old baskets, no matter the size, please feel free to reach out. We will give them a new home and purpose. The heart of our business is love, including the baskets.
